In his book “Six Visions of Empordà”, writer and journalist Narcís Pijoan qualifies Aigua de Vilajuïga as “the best sodium, lithium and diuretic water in the universe.

2- In the prologue of the very interesting book “ NATURAL FOUNTAINS, 127 nymph hides in Alt Empordà” (Brau Publications 1997), the prestigious enologist Eduard Puig Vayreda includes a technical appraisal of Aigua de Vilajuïga, a tasting with the wine-tasting method: “In the mouth it stands out for its lightly acidulated sensation and the carbonated tickling, well built, without saline excesses but lacking any, well balanced and harmonious. Nice sensation of cool and fulfilment.”
Its light and fine gas and its saline backtaste leave a sensation of freshness and wellness in the mouth.

Jaume Fabregas in an article in “El Temps” (May 2002) states “we can say it is one of the best in Europe along with Badoit and some other French and German water.”

Salvador Garcia, in his gastronomic magazine DESCOBRIR CUINA (June 2002), writes “between the Albera Mountains and the Cap de Creus Massif we find Aigua de Vilajuïga, one of the best in the country.”
